Enough of our users on the forum have reported better temps with the "3 dots" method. Do a better job than I did for the video though. Even though "looks wise" I rolled about a 3 on that paste job, that pase job allowed the 3800x to boost up to 4525 on the ASRock X570 Creator.
I enabled XMP, set the SOC to Level3, and set the LLC to level 5. I also disabled CPCC for an extra minor performance bump. That's the only changes from P1.40 defaults. The boosting was observed during a Geekbench run, and Geekbench was able to observe grater than 4500 clocks during its run.
